Dear Mr Snow,
I know we had gone a while without seeing too much of each other in previous winters and it was nice, for a change, to see your beauty again in abundance. But too much of a good thing... is NOT a good thing. Remember the old saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." ? I was surprised to come home from my medical tests and find you there again. The time has come for you to go. I'll miss you and enjoy you again next year after I've spent time with the bright sunshine that warms my skin.
Hubby and I spent the afternoon together on my day off. What fun things did we do you ask? I had to have my annual Mammogram @1pm and the doctor set me up for a 3pm MRI on my lower back. Once again we were greeted upon the opening of the elevator doors to the Breast Center. Hubby heard about this before but couldn't quite appreciate it. Goofy man acted like that greeting was his personal invitation to a viewing or something **rolls eyes**. I told him to settle down, he'd just be sitting in the lobby while I went back alone to bear all.
He never attends appointments with me but we hadn't been away from the house together for a while. He's just not been up to it with his health issues. So today was a good day and I talked him into going with me and having a late lunch between the Mammogram and MRI. Both were in the same building, just different floors so we had plenty of time to kill between. Of course if he'd decided NOT to accompany me to Cheddar's for an awesome lunch, I'd have killed time shopping in the mall there.
It was fun to get out of the house together again, even though we had to come home to Mr Snow.
Hope all the tests went well!!
ReplyDeleteHoping all went well. Have a great night. Mr. Snow was here too.
ReplyDeleteMr. Snow is visiting us again today - starting to be one of those house guests who have overstayed their welcome LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you get good results with your tests! MRI's are not fun - had one a couple years ago for my lower back as well.
If you've got It I'm following it!

ReplyDeleteI hope your tests results are clear and that the snow goes away soon. I am a little South of you and we have had way too much as well.
Can't wait to read more of your writing.
I'm so sick of the snow!!!!! And I'm terrified of having a mammogram. Never had one. Pretty sure my boobs aren't big enough to be squeezed in that machine. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was funny. The letter to Mr. Snow was perfect. Laughing at your husband wanting a free peep show at the doctors - hehe!
